In this video we present a challenging refractive surgery case:
a patient with history of phakic lens implantation more than 15 years ago, of the iris -claw rigid PMMA material type (Artisan/Verisyse).
No info was available on prior refractive status or lens power, but there was significant refractive error and low endothelial cell density in both eyes.
The phakic IOLs were explanted and phacoemulsification was performed with implantation of vivity toric intraocular lenses
The procedure was done in both eye 3 weeks apart. in this video we describe the surgery performed on the left eye
