16 November 2015: Sajid Javid, the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, told an audience of entrepreneurs and media that capitalism can be a force for good, but first, it must face its biggest challenge ever in the shape of public opinion. In a passionate defense of the free market as the best system to pull people out of poverty, the Secretary of State said it was time to challenge to challenge the public’s misconception of capitalism as composed exclusively of greedy bankers and unscrupulous businessmen.
