An Apple expert shows you how to turn off Auto-Brightness on your iPhone. When Auto-Brightness is on, your iPhone will automatically adjust its display brightness based on external lighting.
To turn off Auto-Brightness, open the Settings app and tap General. Then tap Accessibility and Display Accommodations. Then, turn off the switch next to Auto-Brightness to turn it off.
We typically don’t recommend turning off Auto-Brightness for two reasons. First, it’s a pain to constantly manually adjust the brightness on your iPhone. Secondly, leaving your iPhone on with its display cranked up all the way may cause faster than normal battery drain.
