The Carry On films were produced by Peter Rogers (1914-2009), and directed by Gerald Thomas (1920-1993). I think it’s fair to say that in today’s world ‘Carry On’ films are considered to be dated and at times politically incorrect. Love them or hate them they represent a fine era of British comedy. As a musician I like to think of the 100s of very talented and sadly anonymous individuals who must have played in the live bands. British TV and Film theme tunes are something to be proud of. The Brits have always been good at writing them! This collection celebrates the musical talents of Eric Rogers (1913-81) and Bruce Montgomery (1921-78). Between them they provided almost all the music for the 31 Carry On films (Eric was the more prolific). In loving memory of all the Carry On actors, musicians, and crew.
