Designing authentic learning experiences that provide students opportunities to demonstrate their learning in unique ways helps to engage students to take ownership of their own learning. Utilizing the Chromebook app Explain Everything, Biology teachers collaborated and identified learning targets and a created a rubric to measure student learning for a Photosynthesis project. Students at Eisenhower High School then used the app on their Chromebooks to create a presentation to explain the photosynthesis process after completing a storyboard and script.
