President Jacob Zuma says the economy still faces major challenges despite growing by 3.3% in the second quarter after contracting in the first. He was addressing a conference in Pretoria of South African diplomats who represent the country abroad. President Zuma also said State Owned Enterprises should play an important role in growing South Africa's embattled economy. He announced that a special Cabinet meeting is to be held soon, which will focus on the reform of SOEs to this end.
