This video is to bring you a closer look at the Zero 365AA Automatic Door Bottom.
Automatic door bottom are automatic activate when doors operates.
Automatically closed when the door is pushed closed the last few degrees.
This is the lock side and this is the hinge side.
The automatic door bottom does his job by installing this portion that is sticking out , the channel of the housing on the hinge side.
When the door is closed this comes in contact with the jamb has nowhere to go but in when you push the door closed.
There is a end with a brass nut we call that the plunger.This is the hinge side of the door.
And we have the other side which does not have the brass nut or plunger and we call this the lock side of the door.

First one is really nice document to look at because it shows this and Zero's sister products related so it gives you a really nice way the chance ti view this in comparison with similar products from Zero and allows you to see the differences and different types.
This is also surface mounted and in the world of automatic door bottoms there are three applications really used them: surface mount, semi mortise and then mortise.
So this is a surface mount where it's gonna literately surface mount of the face of the door.
You have your semi mortise which is very similar to this except that will take a router and rout the face of the door and install this so it's flash to the face of the door.
And then it's mortise which you still rout in the bottom of the door but it's sealed and you can see very little even when the door is closed.

Installation: All surface and semi-mortised units must be mounted on the push side of the door stop (side where the door stop is). The brass adjusting nut must be on the hinge side and should not be adjusted until the unit has been mounted.
The next thing to do is to trim it or cut it to the exact length.
When you go to trim the exact length stand on the push side of the door you have a tape measure you pull the door closed you gonna measure the distance between two stops deduct off of that 1/8", that is the length to cut.
If you want us to cut it indicate that in the common field. When you order the item we will ship it to you that way.
Optimum clearance between door bottom unit and floor or sill is 3/8".
FINAL ADJUSTMENT: After unit has been mounted, turn adjusting nut in / out until closing door pushes neoprene seal down to make contact with floor/sill.
I am rotated the plunger clock wise that makes it to stick forward form the housing as you can see.
That is connected to a flat screen.Imagine when your door is open and because the brass is connected to the flat screen and it's nature state is natural straight this will be extended.
The hinge side drops, when it makes contact it stops, and the rest of it comes down.
That is in essence how automatic door bottom works.
You've got varieties of sizes, applications like we talked about earlier, finishes, seal material, but the bottom line principal is exactly what we went through.
I like Zero automatic door bottoms because there is a lot of additional thinking that is going into.
For instance what you gonna see in diagram this model has right there that black spacer and what happened i heard one complain out of 25000.
Is that one the door is open you hear that clink it. The true of the matter you do that piece of material is here to deaden that sound it's really never quite so sever it depends how you open the door, if you crash it , but if you open the door normal is more of a gradual lifting.
The 351 is a very common item by Zero and it can be used in any applications, especially in applications where you have a fire rated application that you need this to work with. In reference to the black insert is that horizontal bar with the U underweight it.
Fasteners are included, you gonna get three or four of these.
You also gonna get a little plastic and that is gonna get in here doing less damage to the frame. You gonna need two end plates one with hole and another one without it.
That's gonna fit over that and the screw it down and give it a really nice dress appearance. You also gonna get four little screws.
Dimensionally: 1 13/16" overall height and 3/4" thickness
