Five people were taken to area hospitals after three vehicles were involved in a crash on Cleveland's east side Tuesday evening.
According to the Cleveland Division of Police, the crash happened at the intersection of East 55th Street and Superior Avenue. One of the vehicles involved in the incident flipped over and caught fire.
Cleveland police say a 29-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center and are in critical condition, while a 27-year-old man is in serious condition at MetroHealth. Meanwhile, a 50-year-old woman was taken to University Hospitals and was in "trauma arrest," while a 22-year-old man is in critical condition at UH.
