It’s probably the cleanest and friendliest island in the Philippines I have visited so far! This tiny island can be lapped in just a couple of hours, and with so much beauty and adventure crammed into such a small space, getting around doesn’t take lots of planning or expensive excursions.
The island is renowned for its mystical creatures and witch healers (mangkukulam, which means Filipino witch) who practise black magic. Voodoo dolls and ‘love potions’ can be seen in stalls across the island, but how to meet a real natural healer is still unknown to me!
