As the City of Johannesburg holds its 8th Ordinary sitting of council, this will be the first meeting where Mpho Phalatse returns as Joburg Mayor. Phalatse was reinstated this week, after a High Court ruling declared her removal unlawful, invalid and unconstitutional. The ANC and some smaller parties have warned that a motion will still be brought against her.
