If you are considering undergoing a cosmetic procedure, it is important to do your research on the procedure and the plastic surgeon. Look for a plastic surgeon that has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).


David Kahn, MD, a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Palo Alto, California, recommends interviewing various plastic surgeons to find one who understands your particular needs and is confident they can produce the results you are looking for.

“Finding a match is important. Patients shouldn’t try to make a physician change their plan and physicians shouldn’t try to make patients change their procedural plan because it may not yield the results the patient was hoping to achieve,” explained Dr. Kahn.
