There are two (2) ways to qualify:
Method 1: Program-Based:
Individuals and families who are currently enrolled in any of the following public assistance programs:
- Medicaid/Medi-Cal (no Medicare)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LHEAP)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance or Section 8
- CalFresh, Food Stamps or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)
- National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs)
- Stanislaus County Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (StanWORKs),
- Welfare to Work (WTW)
- Greater Avenues for Independence (GAIN)
- Tribal TANF
- Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
Head Start Income Eligible (Tribal Only)
- Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)
Method 2: Income Based
Individuals and families may also qualify for a TruConnect Direct/CA Lifeline cell phone service if their income is at or less than the following income guidelines for household annual income:
1-2 Members - $25,500.00
3 Members - $29,700.00
4 Members - $35,900.00
*Add an additional $6,200.00 for each additional member of your household.
