Today we will be walking in Kralingen, Rotterdam.
Rotterdam is the second biggest city of the Netherlands, with a population of 624 253 in its municipality and a population of 1.4 million in its metro area. The city has the biggest port of Europe and one of the biggest of the World. It has a very modern architecture, because of the fact that it was bombed during World War ll. It also has a few landmarks, like the Euromast and the Erasmusbrug. The well known philosopher Erasmus is from there.
Kralingen is a district of the City of Rotterdam with a population of 23 830. It is one of the few disctricts of Rotterdam which was less touched by the bombing, so you can still see some older typical dutch architecture there. The district is also famous for the Kralingse Plas, which is a lake surrounded by a park.
