The old train type DD-AR, now used as regional train, is transformed into a new intercity to travel throughout the Netherlands. These trains are equipped with air-conditioning and designed to meet the wishes of the client. Two zones are constructed. The downstairs zone is designed to ‘meet’. It has lounging suites and sitting areas where travellers can talk. In the upstairs zone travellers can read or work quietly.
