Thought of getting away with the friends in the weekend and found a great place to be. UK or else Udawatte Kele (Udawatte Forest) is a kinda large garden used by kings. According to the Folklore, this used to be "uda wasala watte". Which means " The garden above the castle" and later changed to "udawatte".
This amazing place is situated in Kandy, Sri Lanka. And its not too far, technically in the middle of the Kandy town. It is above the sacred Kandy Temple of the tooth, which used to be a castle/palace.
As a visitor, you can find the "municipal junction" in Kandy which is near the temple of tooth, turn to the side where the "temple of tooth" is. from there it is only about 500M inside and there it is.

They charge a very fair amount even for foreigners. And the best thing is you can bring your bicycle and cycle inside. Or jogging if you wish to. Or else you can just wonder around like us.
It is a great place to be, Specially if you are a nature lover. Visit and see the beauty of the nature.
