This footage was shot to test how the FX9 will perform in a real world scenario. Nothing setup, nothing staged, just a couple of cheap Sony E-Mount lenses (50mm f1.8 and 28-70mm f3.5-f5.6) and a pleasant evening in Windsor.
To test how the autofocus would perform on a real world shoot I switched the camera to AF with Face Priority before leaving home and left it that way for the entire shoot. The only shot where manual focus was used was the 120fps shot of the swans where AF can't be used.
I also wanted to explore how easy it would be to cut together footage using custom mode and S-Cinetone along with material shot with S-Log3 with the s709 LUT applied. I think you can see that it's no problem and both look really good together.
There is no grading, no colour correction. This is how the material looks straight from the camera or in the case of the CinEI and S-Log3 material how it looks after adding the s709 Venice LUT.
