Many Mooney aircraft manufactured before the 1969 model year have an uncommon landing gear configuration. Rather than the landing gear extending or retracting by an electric motor or a hydraulic system, it's powered mechanically by the pilot.
This video shows me retracting and extending the landing gear in my 1967 Mooney while its on jacks during annual, so I can go slow and talk about the process. The passenger seat has been removed so you can see the manual gear lever when it's stowed in the floor socket.
