As the World Turns February 17, 1998. Things heat up between Jack and Carly, but when Jack has a sudden pain, Ben firmly warns them against any further "transgressions." Carly knows she can't wait months if she is to gt the money so she suggests to Jack they get another opinion. Jack wonders what the rush is. Carly is crushed and leaves Jack baffled. Carly runs into Lisa and tells her it is Jack she wants and she has to find a way to make it work. Hal comes to see Jack and tells him he knows something happened in the cabin but he doesn't want to know what and then shows Jack the engagement ring he intends to give Carly. Hal later invites Carly to a special dinner.
