Speaker Biography: Preeti Pancholi earned her PhD at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research in India. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Tuberculosis Immunology at the Rockefeller University, New York city (NYC).Dr. Pancholi completed a Clinical Microbiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. She's also held tenure track faculty position at the Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute, New York Blood Center, NYC researching HCV DNA vaccines in Chimpanzees.

Webinar Abstract: Varicella zoster virus (VZV) causes two clinically distinct forms of disease, varicella and herpes zoster. These forms can each present with multiple manifestations ranging from lesions including primary chickenpox or shingles to a diverse spectrum of neurologic complications including aseptic meningitis and encephalitis. This workshop will discuss the clinical spectrum of VZV infection as well as laboratory testing for VZV.
