Can’t believe I am writing this regarding the felled sycamore gap tree! This was cut down in the early hours of the 28th of September 2023.

The tree is nearly or probably older than 300 years and has been the focal point of Hadrian’s wall in Northumberland. Below is a link to Wikipedia regarding the history and other links
