Robert J. Sawyer is one of only eight writers ever to have
won all three of the world's top awards for best sciencefiction
novel of the year: the Hugo Award (which
he won for Hominids), the Nebula Award (for The
Terminal Experiment), and the John W. Campbell
Memorial Award (for Mindscan). The ABC TV series
"FlashForward" was based on his novel of the same
name. His 21st novel, Triggers, comes out in April 2012.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
