Through seven regional anti-corruption platforms UNODC is supporting countries to fast-track the implementation of the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). Each platform identifies priority areas which require bundled attention and commitment to effectively prevent and combat corruption.
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is now following the same approach to effectively tackle corruption in the years to come.
They have developed and agreed on a plan of ambitious anti-corruption activities with focus on increasing national and regional cooperation and curbing corruption in public procurement.
