2024 Ford Ranger sales figures are out for the first 2/4 of this year and they are absolutely abysmal. I am not surprised because of the mismanagement at Ford and the way that they have gone about handling what was supposed to be the best midsize truck in the segment. They have driven it so far into the ground that I don’t believe that there’s any turning back. They should hit the reset button and take a different approach to this. The Ford Maverick is a massive success and they need to take a play out of that book and give the Ford Ranger a more efficient power chain, and improve the interior quality. Most people don’t tow thing and don’t really need 4wheel drive. They care about efficiency and having a back seat for their kids. The Toyota Tacoma sales are also way down, but Nissan Frontier and Chevy Colorado are skyrocketing. Ford Ranger has an opportunity to win here but the CEO and shareholders don’t care.
