Learn how to make Maharashtrian style Katachi Amti from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani. Katachi Amti is a flavored Dal / Curry accompaniment with Puran Poli served during the festival of Holi.
Ingredients:
1 cup Chana Dal boiled & churned
1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Mix Masala
10 to 15 Curry Leaves
Coriander Leaves
1 tsp Jaggery
4 to 5 Kokum
Salt
Water
1 tsp Oil
साहित्य
१ कप उकडून वाटलेली चण्याची डाळ
१/२ tsp मोहरी
१/२ tsp जिरं
१ tsp मसाला
१० ते १५ कढी पत्त्याची पाने
कोथिंबीर
१ tsp गुळ
४ ते ५ कोकम
मीठ
पाणी
१ tsp तेल
Method:
- Boil & churn the chana dal and keep it ready.
- In a pan, add oil, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves & coriander leaves.
- Add mix masala, turmeric powder, jaggery to the churned dal.
- Add the dal to the tadka and mix everything well.
- Add salt and kokum.
- Bring the dal to a boil and serve hot!
