In this quick video I replace a fuel shutoff solenoid on a TroyBilt Pony riding mower that backfires. By backfire, I mean a gas vapor explosion in the exhaust that belches fire out the muffler. This isn't good for the exhaust system, and is easily and cheaply remedied. The following link is an aftermarket alternative fuel solenoid that fits and works great. This solenoid should only be used if the plastic stopper matches the ones shown in the picture(s):
