A splendid evening with the power couple Rohini and Nandan Nilekani, live on #IIMChat stage on 15 Nov, 2022. Some of the key messages that will remain with us are:
Nandan described his Aadhaar model to be a High Resistance, Low Impact model.
Stay curious: Always trying to learn something new from every conversation.
Keep an eye on what matters (Signal) and ignore the rest (Noise).
Technology is important but building consensus among key stakeholders is critical for the large-scale adoption of products
We need to be become 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑐𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑧𝑒𝑛𝑠 and not just passive beneficiaries of the privileges - from subject of the state to citizens of the society.
India needs to build not just physical infrastructure but also institutional infrastructure.
We also need to put a lot more efforts in India into foundational learning to secure the future of livelihood.
The mindset that 𝑊𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑡ℎ𝑦 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑙 needs to change. With great wealth comes great responsibilities.
