April 21, 2015 - NAZ Today covers the Navajo Nation Special Presidential Election.
Sitting President Ben Shelley gave all registered tribal voters two hours of administrative leave today to vote in the tribe's Special Presidential Election.
Despite the previous language fluency controversy, Joe Shirley Jr. and Russell Begaye both advanced to the general election. Around 100 thousand Navajo voters were expected at the booths today and the new leaders will be sworn in May 12.
The Navajo Nation Office of Broadcast Services will be live streaming the election. The stream can be found online at USTREAM.tv
