KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) - Snow took officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet by surprise Tuesday morning.
A snowburst started in Gallatin County at about 6:30 a.m. when people are starting to drive to work. It continues to move across Northern Kentucky.
There were accidents and icy roads and overpasses.
KYTC spokesperson Nancy Wood said there are 133 salt trucks crisscrossing the area to try to improve road conditions. It's been hard for them to lay down the salt because traffic in some areas has been so congested.
