Alappuzha: The financial crisis faced by the treasuries has put the ration shop dealers in the state in trouble. The monthly commission for the dealers has been pending for the last four months. if the arrears are distributed at once, the dealers rue that they have to pay 20 percent of the amount as tax according to the norms. At present, 14,432 shops are functioning under the Civil Supplies Department.
