Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov was in Stockholm on Friday for talks with his Swedish counterpart, Pal Jonson. Further Swedish aid packages for Ukraine are reportedly on their way to Kyiv.
Business ties between Poland and Taiwan are growing stronger as companies in Taipei look to expand their operations in Central and Eastern Europe. The Polish-Taiwanese Economic Cooperation Forum held in Warsaw on Friday saw the announcement of the upcoming first direct air service between Warsaw and Taipei.
“The European Union and NATO allies must respond,” said Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė. On Friday, heads of governments of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia convened to address growing security threats. This comes in the wake of the discovery of severed underwater telecommunications cables in a suspected sabotage operation.
