Nicho Sai is the fundamental Sai Kata of Matayoshi Kobudo. The Tokui is the combination Chudan Tsuki, Gedan Harai Uke, Nodo Tsuki, Gedan Uke, which is repeated 9 times throughout the kata. Although a short kata, it contains many fundamental techniques and principles of sai usage which can really come alive and be explored fully in the Bunkai. This is the four basic embu bunkai practiced at our dojo. The fourth one in particular features the throw when practiced outdoors for indoor training we take the Koto uchi for the health and wellbeing of mats everywhere.
