Washington, D.C.— The House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific hosted a hearing examining the Obama Administration's policies toward Burma and the effectiveness of the current sanctions given the ruling junta's faux transformation and continued human rights abuses. The hearing will also assess the impact of Aung San Suu Kyi's release on efforts to promote democracy in Burma.
