The Brewers decided to have a bullpen day in game 1, while the Rockies sent Antonio Senzatela to the hill. After a strong first few innings for the starters, the Brewers drew first blood on a 2-run homerun by Christian Yelich in the 3rd. Other than the homerun, Senzatela was quite good in this one, going 5 inning and giving up just 3 hits. The Brewers bullpen completely shut down the Rockies offense through 8 innings, only allowing 1 hit, but that changed in the 9th. The Rockies were able to tie the game in the 9th off of Brewers' closer Jeremy Jeffress. Charlie Blackmon drove in a run on a single to right, and Nolan Arenado hit a sac-fly to send the game to extras. After a 1-2-3 top of the 10th, Adam Ottavino got in trouble and eventually gave up a walk-off single to Mike Moustakas that scored Christian Yelich. The Brewers have taken a 1-0 lead in the NLDS.
