The APPG for Ethics and Sustainability in Fashion is heard evidence, perspectives, and responses surrounding the introduction of a Fashion Adjudicator/Watchdog.
The APPG was joined by speakers including Fiona Gooch, Senior Policy Adviser at Traidcraft Exchange, M. Azizul Islam, Prof Sustainability Accounting & Transparency at the University of Aberdeen, Dr Do Quynh Chi, Director of the Research Centre for Employment Relations, Vietnam.
And heard reflections from Mary Creagh, who was Chair of the Environment Audit Committee when they published their Fixing Fashion report in 2019, Deputy Leicester City Mayor Cllr Adam Clarke, John McNally MP on behalf of the Environmental Audit Committee and former MP.
Presenters shared evidence and survey results from garment workers across fashion supply chains.
