The Shiromani Akali Dal government in Punjab has been accused of withdrawing poll code violation cases against its legislators. Prominent Akali leaders who stand to escape the law include revenue minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia, education minister Sikander Singh Maluka and the former SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur.
