On 14 August 2020, 17-year old Amahle decided to take her own life because she couldn’t bear the abuse in her own home anymore.
In Amahle’s honour, Masifunde learners (Grade 8 - 10) and Junior Commissioners from SAPS, decided to run a campaign during the 16 days of activism, raising awareness about:
1. The various forms of abuse against children,
2. The importance of reporting abuse to trusted duty bearers,
3. The efficacy of speaking out about abuse as a child’s right to heal.
Please follow us and share our learner's messages!
