Today, we're going to take a look at the Stainless Steel Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors for the 2.047 hub bore. This part is for quantity of two. Now, the Bearing Buddy design, it's an easy way to protect your bearings by keeping water out and ensuring enough grease is in the hub. It is great for marine applications, because the stainless steel construction of this part will provide the best in corrosion resistance. The way this works is this just replaces the grease cap that's on your axle hub. You just tap this part right onto the hub. Now, it prevents wheel bearing failure, because it will keep water and dirt out of your hubs and your bearings, allows your boat trailer wheels to be completely submerged in the water, and it'll stop corrosion and pitting on your bearings. Provides this easily accessible grease zerk fitting right here to be able to pump grease in with your grease gun, so it makes adding grease to the bearings very quick and simple. Now, also, when you do fill it up, it does maintain a slight controlled pressure, about three PSI, with a spring loaded piston in there.

That helps prevent water from entering the hub. It also prevents over-filling and rear seal damage because it uses an automatic pressure relief feature. What'll happen is the grease will seep around the piston edges and into the barrel when it's full. It is constructed of stainless steel, so it'll ensure long lasting fit, better than your plastic or aluminum products like this. It does include the rubber covers that you just put on them when you get done filling them. You can just put that on to protect it.

It does install very easily, just like installing your grease cap. You remove your grease cap and tap this right into there in place of it. Part is made in the USA and, again, this one happens to be designed to fit the 2.047 hub bore, and that measurement will be right here.
