Caldeira Santo Cristo -
This Caldeira Santo Cristo, located in the Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo, possibly one of the most beautiful and undoubtedly the most famous fajã of the island of São Jorge is known for it’s beautiful trails and breathtaking views.

It is located between Fajã dos Bricks and Fajã Redonda. It was 1984 classified as a Natural Reserve by the Regional Government of the Azores, because of the presence of clams in its lagoon called Lagoa da Fajã de Santo Cristo.

It was later classified as a site of international importance under the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance as Waterfowl Habitat, thanks to its lagoon.
