* Evilwurst does not in any way endorse this build. I just wanted to shout him out after he shouted me out in his last video, because that's how things have to be. And I do think he's the coolest and and my first inspiration as a 'builder' and tremendous help when I was starting to play rust, with his very useful builds. Thank you Evilwurst!
THE DEATHKNELL 2
Total Upkeep:
~22k Frags
~26k Stone
~160 HQM
Build Cost (Not including deployables):
~60K Frags (Essential deployables, such as doors, 30k)
~140K Stone
~650 HQM
PROS:
Offline Defense:
* 6 bunkers hidden around the base
* 5 walls to core from almost every direction. Getting all loot from bottom floors and bunkers would require around 120 rockets. A perfect offline raid is most effective, but that's not going to happen here. Most of the defenses are geared towards making a standard online raid ineffective.
Getting the kits from lockers etc would take a hell of a lot more.
Online Defense:
* Ramp/multi-tc gap Inner Peeks
* Shooting floor extensions + Ramp Peeks
* 3 Flank Bases, each with 6 beds, lockers, 360 shooting floor
* Catwalks for fast navigation between flank bases and core.
* Total of 36 beds (including 6 beds on the inner peek floor, core bedrooms, and flank bases)
Budget:
*Most people I asked what reasonable upkeep would be for a base of this strength gave numbers well in excess (up to and over double) of what I ended up with.
This is the most efficient group base I've seen in Rust in terms of cost/protection/usability.
* Core TC holds upkeep for 24 hours. More if you upgrade a bit more to metal/hqm.
Upscaling:
* EXCELLENT for x2 etc. servers. There is much than can still be upgraded, and all upgrades have actual utility in this build.
CONS:
* Does not come with a starter base (have to farm up to complete second floor, from then on you can use it.
* Core maneouverability is lowered with only 1 jump up from core to bedroom floor.
This however, is not an issue, since the core is completely closed down in a raid.
There is good maneouverability (3 jump ups) for top 2 floors and roof, and excellent maneouverability in shooting floor/flank bases, meaning, where it matters.
Suggestions:
* Disconnectible TC's are a good idea in this base. I didn't include it in the video because I don't want every video to be all videos, but mini-satori's disconnectibles are excellent here)
* If you're concerned about raiders using the catwalks against you, you can add a garage door in there, a turret, or even make the floor out of wood, so that if they try to go through it, they'll be forced to blow it up, or you can prevent them access from that path.
