The European Court of Justice has struck down a key data protection agreement that lets American and European companies share their customers' personal data.
The court upheld a complaint by Max Schrems, a Facebook user from Austria who'd argued that the agreement, known as Safe Harbour, did not give European consumers adequate protection against snooping by US intelligence agencies.
