The Austrian composer Franz Danzi (1763-1826) became famous as a composer for chamber music and brass music in particular. The aria “Là ci darem la mano” from the Mozart opera Don Giovanni became the theme of a piece in variation form for Clarinet Solo and String Quartet with ad lib. one oboe and one french horn. John Nimbly made an arrangement for Clarinet Solo and Wind Band as requested by the publisher. It’s a spectacular piece and very rewarding for the good soloist.
