This walking tour takes place in Emerald, Queensland, a small town that has been around since 1879 and it has a population under 15,000.
Prior to 1879, the Gayiri people occupied the area for many thousands of years.
Emerald is only small, so as far as 4K walking tours go this is not a particularly long 4K walk, but it does provide sights of some heritage listed buildings, including the train station which is right in the heart of the town.
There's a few pubs, and some quaint old architecture.
When I did this 4K walking tour, it was 38 degrees, celsius - really hot and dry!
