Run by Wire & Sky, this activity allows one to abseil this iconic London landmark in a very safe and controlled manner.

This was my first ever experience abseiling.

The platform sits 80 metres above the ground. While there are higher abseiling activities around the country, this is the highest freefall abseil.

This is also safer than the others due to the use of multiple redundant backup systems, more than are used at other places.

The decent is taken at one's own pace, but should not exceed the natural speed of the system that is reached by letting go of the rope. Descending too quickly risks locking the ASAP safety device.

ArcelorMittal Orbit is 114.5 metres (376 foot) tall.
