Nairobi: At least eight people died in shootings in Burundi’s capital overnight, an administrator said, in a city hit by regular assaults, blasts and grenade attacks since a disputed presidential election.
Explosions rang out in several neighbourhoods of Bujumbura.
Locals told Reuters most of the dead were civilians and some had been found with their hands tied behind their backs.
