President Benigno S. Aquino III arrived onboard Bombardier Challenger 850 that landed at
Ngurah Rai International airport to attend at the 19th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits
held at Bali, Indonesia. Accompanied by a lean delegation that includes Department of
Finance Secretary Cezar Purisima, Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory
Domingo and Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. Del Rosario.
President Aquino was welcomed by Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia
Maria Rosario C. Aguinaldo, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN,
Maria Teresita Daza and Defense and Armed Forces Attache to Jakarta, Captain Rafael G.
Mariano. After a simple arrival ceremony, the President, accompanied by his delegation,
motored to the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa where he is billeted.
After a brief rest, the President attended his first activity for the day, a retreat session with the
ASEAN head of states and government.
