Nick Mutschler - Boston Jr Terriers (EHL)
[ Ссылка ]
Staying over pucks, getting good upper body rotation (chin and chest to puck) and keeping an active stick are all keys to properly executing stick steers that result in pucks deflected up off the ice and to the corner (ideally on straight on and far side shots up into the netting).
Here are two great examples from Nick Mutschler doing just that which results in no threat of a second shot. Boring goaltending at its finest. #masterthemundane
The third rep however, you can see Nick's hands come back and the rebound is flat on the ice. How do you respond in a training situation when you know you didn't execute as well as you should? Do you give up on the play or do you go into battle mode and keep the puck out of the net. Great example of Nick not giving up on the play and finding a way to make the second save!
