This video is gonna be a fun one from a recent adventure in Europe. Today we’re going to Spain to monitor sensors on the El Camino de Santiago de Compostela. It’s in the northwestern part of Spain in Galicia as you see on these Esri 3D earth globe maps.
We’ve already selected our Industrial IoT sensor device in the upper left. And we’ve set the query range from and to dates. Then we picked which sensors to use for visualization, color, and height.
Let’s change the base map to Dark Gray since that will make it easier to see the Valarm sensor information.
As we zoom in you can see a few different data sets where Edward collected accelerometer sensor data on the walk, a.k.a., el El Camino.
The heights represent the accelerometer sensor readings where higher values rise up higher out of the ground and lower sensor readings are lower.
The colors also correspond to accelerometer sensor readings where green are low readings, orange or middle range readings, and red are sensor measurements that were high. You can set all of this on the left with the Low and High in and corresponding altitudes out. And by setting the color to a variable range, then choosing your range and color ramp.
This walk was just over 100km around 62 miles from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. If you’re considering walking el camino, it’s highly recommended. You’re sure to meet amazing people and learn about yourself.
