Work to demolish Wet 'n' Wild Waterpark in North shields continues. The main part of the building is now nearly disappeared.
Heavy plant machinery continue to demolish the popular North Tyneside attraction. A constant flow of HGV wagons take the metal away for recycling. Soon the external slides will be demolished.
Demolition will enable future development and is expected to last approximately 8 weeks.
After demolition, the site is set to be "levelled and surfaced with hardcore". Plans for the future of the site at that stage have not been revealed. The site was purchased from Serco Leisure earlier this summer.
