"Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus" was written by the great English hymn writer Charles Wesley in 1744.

The tune is 'Cross of Jesus ', written by the English composer Sir John Stainer in 1887 for his oratorio 'The Crucifixion'.

It is performed here by the Choir of Truro Cathedral.
