I bought 6 lignum vitae ‘’knife handle blanks’’ earlier this year. I’ve used 2 of them in mitre planes thus far.
I thought why not make a small rebate plane since I dont have one.

I prefer a skewed rebate for its advantage on cross grain planing, but it is a more complex build and more time consuming than a non-skew.
